Villians Hall of Fame

  • Darthvader
This is one photo album you don't want to be in. If you're on this list, then it means that in some way you're are screwing the American people. If you're here to see who is listed, good for you. These are the people you need to know about, you need to rally against, or whom you need to shun. Some of them will be people who you are well aware of, and some will be new, news to you. Either way, we (the people of logic and reason) are watching everyone. And we'll let you know who's the latest to enter the Villians Hall of Fame.

Respect the Moment

In the Presidential campaign John McCain and Barack Obama fought hard, and Obama won.  Many conservatives, including myself, do not think by any means the better man won.  But in battle, in competition, be it sports, wars, or politics sometimes the person that should win, does not.  If that was not true, then the whole concept of the underdog and the “upset win” would not exist.

The battle is over.  Today Barack Obama officially becomes President Barack Obama.  The first African-American President.  Respect the moment.  Yes we disagree with his values and policies.  But respect the moment that thousands of African-Americans of the MLK civil rights era are feeling right now.  There is little doubt that when my grandmother was my age the thought of a black president ranked right up there with the notion of unicorns, and magical creatures.  But today it is a reality, and it proves that the blacks who fought for the concept of this country in several wars even when they were being turned away from kitchen counters, understood that America could have a day like this one day.  And that day is today.  Again…RESPECT THE MOMENT.  I do.

Get ready for Obama Nation

On points there is no doubt McCain is the better person to be President.  Obama does not have the experience, judgement, and certainly not the economic plan to move this country forward.  Does not matter.  In the last two weeks McCain has squandered the lead he gained two weeks ago.  He had the high ground on the Fannie and Freddie Mac debacle because he warned everyone and tried to fix the problem two years ago, and was blocked by the Dems.  He has not taken advantage of this fact.  In the debate last night as with the 1st debate McCain did not show people exactly how the tax increases of Obama will harm the country. He did not show how every President that has lowered tax rates (Jack Kennedy, Ronald Regan, Bill Clinton, and yes even George W. Bush) had expanding, growing economies under their tenure as presidents.  In George W’s case, six of the last eight yrs have been good for the economy.  We know this because the tax revenues under Bush have been 20% higher than under Clinton.  That cannot happen unless the economy is growing.  If you disagree, fine, but there is little doubt that higher taxes never grows an economy.  It never has, and it never will.  But McCain has not debated properly and so this information is not getting out to the public, and so on style Obama wins both debates, and will win the election.  Blacks can be happy; we will have a black President.  But the country will weep, because none of his policies will help the country in any way, except moving us closer to socialism.  I will vote for McCain, he is the better man.  But I fully expect Obama to win, and all of us to lose.

Cops Gone Wild

Once again we have an example of Cops doing bad things. Yesterday a couple with a newborn baby attempted to leave the hospital with their baby. Apparently this couple were having some dispute with the hospital staff, got fed up, and decided to take their baby out of the hospital. However, because the infant had a security bracklet on its wrist the elevator would not operate. The couple were then confronted by the police and security guard. What the police were doing there seems to be in question, as its been reported that they did know the couple were the parents of the baby. At some point the police decided to shoot the father with a taser. The man fell to the ground, while still holding the baby. The baby hit his head on the floor, but is being reported as fine. The father disagrees and says his baby is not acting the same.

This is yet another example of how police throughout the country are showing poor judgement. It is common knowledge that police are not allowed to fire thier guns if there is a chance that innocent people could be hit in the cross fire. It does not take a genuis to realize that this same concept applies to tasers as well; especially given that they are not that accurate. If the taser had hit the baby the electric shock would have almost certainly killed the infant. If the taser missed the infant and hit the fahter (as it did) than what would happen is exactly what did happen. The father fell, the baby with him, and struck its head on the floor. I have not been to a police academy recently, but both scenarios are ones that could have been anticipated by the officers. Therefore, there was no reason to take the risk. They acted with reckless disregard for the safety of the baby.

As usual the police chief and other superiors of the officers are saying they did nothing wrong. I wonder...when will police, security guards, and other law enforcement officers be held to the same standard that we as citizens are held.

I hope the infant is really okay, and I hope the parents sues the hell out of the hospital.

The Gay Lobby does it again

Ok this item is just plain stupid. In Oakland a group of gay and lesbian workers for the city of Oakland formed an email group made of up people that consider themselves gay. They emailed each other, shared stories, whatever. Another group at the job decided to start their own email group. This one was made up of Christians, and people who believe in traditional, natural families. They emailed each other, and never once disparaged the gay group. But of course the women that started the gay email group sued the city in order to make them disband the christian group. And of course the whacky court out there decided against the christians.

Ok, what's our motto? Logic and Reason. If you allow one set of employees to form a group of any kind on the company, or government worksite, then another one is allowed to be formed as well. That's basic fairness. Unless the group is infringing on the rights of the other group, there is nothing wrong. There is no discrimmination.

Why is it that if you're gay, you can do what you want. But if you're a Christian, you don't have any rights? It's ridiculous, but typical of the mentailty in country right now.

Bottom line is the supervisor should have had a back bone, and disallowed either group. And the judge in the case, 8th district court of course, should follow common sense. You can't take the rights of one group away in favor of another group. Especially when that group is a fridge one to begin with.
